Recently we have developed a mixed initiative based dialogue technology, for telephone applications, paying particular attention to its portability to different domains. It works with continuous speech and can manage different contexts. A prototype system has been built for a train timetable inquiry domain. Using this system more than 70 dialogues have been collected and annotated and corresponding performance has been evaluated. The dialogue technology will be presented and discussed in the details and some results will be reported.
